Attorney Brandon K. Leavitt is an “AV” rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbel.com. Attorney Leavitt is admitted to practice law in both the States of Nevada and Washington. Attorney Leavitt has been practicing law since 2010 in Las Vegas. Brandon takes a holistic approach when practicing family law and understands that his client’s legal issues can impact their lives for years. This approach helps Brandon get great results in and outside of the courtroom. Brandon has extensive experience in family law matters, including divorce, child support, child custody, alimony, asset division, and prenuptial agreements.
Brandon is a 6th generation Southern Nevadan and has family ties to the initial settlers of the Las Vegas Valley. He was born in Henderson, Nevada, and graduated from Green Valley High School in 1998. Brandon continued to pursue his education at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree in Communications with an emphasis in argumentation and negotiation. Brandon then earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree from the prestigious Shepard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
While putting himself through law school, Attorney Leavitt worked for a Fortune 100 company as a law clerk. After graduating from law school with distinction, Attorney Leavitt served as law clerk to the former Presiding Judge Charles J. Hoskin from April 2009 to June 2010. After working with Judge Hoskin, Attorney Leavitt started and managed several offices, and was lead counsel who supervised a large team of legal professionals for the nation’s largest domestic litigation law firm.
Attorney Leavitt has been recognized by his peers for his knowledge and expertise in domestic law matters and was selected by Super Lawyers magazine as a 2014-2020 as a Rising Star in the area of family law. Furthermore, Attorney Leavitt was selected by the National Academy of Family Law Attorney’s Top 10 Under Age 40 in 2019 for his expertise in Family Law matters. Finally, Attorney Leavitt was selected by SuperLawyers Magazine as a Mountain States SuperLawyer in the area of Family Law for the 2022 - 2026 years.

Mr. Leavitt began his legal career in Nevada by serving as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Charles J. Hoskin at the Eighth Judicial District Court – Family Division in Clark County. As a result of Brandon's time at the Family Court, he is uniquely qualified to counsel each client from the perspective of the Judges who will preside and ultimately make rulings on their cases.
After leaving the Family Court and entering private practice, Brandon gained valuable legal experience by working for several premier family law firms in the Las Vegas valley.
In 2018, Brandon founded the Leavitt Family Law Group in Henderson, Nevada. The Leavitt Family Law Group focuses on helping families with legal matters involving the most important people and aspects of their lives. We understand the importance of compassionate and effective legal representation.
